(1) Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Clinicopath LLC d/b/a Medical School Companion (“MSC”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information in connection with your use of the website located at drphiliptisdall.com, as well as any related services, applications, and community offerings (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

(2) Definitions

For purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  1. “MSC” refers to Clinicopath LLC d/b/a Medical School Companion;
  2. “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the Services;
  3. “Personal Information” means any information that identifies or can reasonably be used to identify an individual;
  4. “Services” refers to all websites, applications, content, subscriptions, and community features provided by MSC; and
  5. “Third-Party Providers” means external platforms and services used to deliver MSC Services.

(3) Information We Collect

Information Provided by Users. MSC collects Personal Information that Users voluntarily provide, including but not limited to name and email address. This information is collected when Users (a) join a waitlist, (b) subscribe to Services, (c) create an account, or (d) communicate with MSC.

Additional Information for Physical Product Purchases. [NEW] When Users purchase Physical Products, MSC collects additional Personal Information necessary to process and fulfill orders, including:

  1. first and last name;
  2. shipping address (street address, city, state/province, postal code, and country);
  3. phone number (required for shipping validation and carrier communication);
  4. billing address; and
  5. payment information (processed by third-party payment providers; MSC does not store full payment card details).

Automatically Collected Information. MSC may automatically collect certain information when Users interact with the Services, including: (a) device and browser information; (b) usage data, such as pages visited and interactions; and (c) approximate location information derived from IP address. Such information may be collected through cookies or similar technologies.

(4) How We Use Information

MSC may use collected information for the following purposes:

  1. to provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  2. to process subscriptions and manage user accounts;
  3. to process and fulfill Physical Product orders, including transmitting shipping information to MSC’s fulfillment partner;
  4. to communicate with Users, including sending updates, educational content, order status notifications, and marketing communications;
  5. to improve and optimize the Services;
  6. to monitor usage and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access; and
  7. to comply with legal obligations.

(5) Email Communications

MSC uses MailerLite to manage communications with Users. Users may receive emails related to account activity, service updates, and marketing or educational content. Users may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link provided in such communications.

(6) Payment Processing

MSC uses Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) to process payments for Physical Product purchases, and Stripe for subscription and other payments. MSC does not store full payment card details. Payment information is collected and processed directly by the applicable payment provider in accordance with its privacy practices, which may include identity verification and fraud prevention measures. (7) Third-Party Platforms

MSC uses Third-Party Providers to deliver certain aspects of the Services, including:

  1. community hosting platforms, such as Circle;
  2. payment processors;
  3. email and communication tools;
  4. Shopify — ecommerce platform used to process Physical Product orders, manage checkout, and handle customer payment transactions; and
  5. Lulu Direct — third-party print-on-demand fulfillment partner that receives customer shipping information (name, address, phone number) for the purpose of printing and delivering Physical Products. Lulu Direct may share shipping information with carriers to facilitate delivery.

These Third-Party Providers may collect, store, and process information in accordance with their own privacy policies. MSC does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of such providers.

(8) Physical Product Data Use

When Users purchase Physical Products, Personal Information collected during the order process is used for the following purposes:

  1. to process and fulfill the order, including transmitting shipping information to MSC’s fulfillment partner;
  2. to communicate order status, shipping updates, and delivery notifications;
  3. to process payments and prevent fraud;
  4. to resolve disputes, process returns or replacements, and provide customer support; and
  5. to comply with legal and tax obligations.

Customer shipping information transmitted to MSC’s fulfillment partner is used solely for the purpose of order fulfillment and is subject to the fulfillment partner’s own privacy practices.

(9) Cookies and Tracking Technologies

MSC may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to:

  1. understand how Users interact with the Services;
  2. improve functionality and performance; and
  3. support marketing and outreach efforts.

Users may control or disable cookies through their browser settings; however, doing so may affect the functionality of the Services.

(10) Data Sharing and Disclosure

MSC does not sell Personal Information. MSC may share information in the following circumstances:

  1. with Third-Party Providers as necessary to operate the Services;
  2. to comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests;
  3. to protect the rights, property, or safety of MSC, its Users, or others; and
  4. in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

(11) Data Security

MSC implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect Personal Information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and Users acknowledge that they provide information at their own risk.

(12) Data Retention

MSC retains Personal Information for as long as necessary to:

  1. provide the Services;
  2. comply with legal obligations; and
  3. resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

(13) International Users

MSC operates globally. By using the Services, Users acknowledge that their information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside of their country of residence.

(14) User Rights

Depending on applicable law, Users may have the right to:

  1. request access to their Personal Information;
  2. request correction of inaccurate information;
  3. request deletion of their data; and
  4. opt out of certain communications.

The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18). MSC does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children.
